We know that the tours we list here aren’t ideal for every traveler, and we won’t pretend that they are. Our travelers and clients are looking for unique, custom, and tailor-made wine and culinary travel experiences, and that exclusivity comes at a price. We don’t want to waste your time giving you information that isn’t a good fit for your travel needs and budget. We understand that what we offer isn’t for everyone, but we hope you’ll consider our listings when you’re ready for an exclusive private tour.

Absolutely not! The wine experiences listed on our site are for novice wine lovers, experienced wine enthusiasts, all the way to sommeliers. Once you’re in contact with your chosen tour operator or guide, you can tell them about your level of wine knowledge so that they can craft the perfect wine experience for you.
We do think that it’s helpful to study a bit about the regions you’ll be visiting and the wines you’ll be tasting, so be sure to take a look at our book recommendations.
All of the tours and guides listed on our site work with travelers to create custom and tailor-made experiences and travel arrangements. There really is no way to give one-size-fits-all prices when no wine experience or tour is exactly alike.
Some tours and guides will list a “starting at” price to give you a rough idea of the cost of their tours, but you’ll work with your guide or tour company to craft the perfect wine and travel experience for you. Their compensation will be communicated to you by them, and you will make payment directly to them.
We charge a nominal fee for our expertise because we’re professionals, and we’ve spent decades acquiring knowledge and experience in our fields of tourism and wine. Each month we participate in classes, meetings, wine tastings, or conferences as we continue to enhance our industry knowledge. We frequently communicate with our guides and tour companies to make sure that we’re offering you the best options for wine and culinary experiences, and we’re regularly establishing relationships with new guides so that we continue to increase the listings available to you. We do the hard work so you don’t have to.

No, Europe Wine Guides does not handle any travel bookings. Search our site for professional guides and tour companies, contact those that you find appropriate for your travel needs, and contact them using their provided information.
You’ll work with the guides or tour companies to create your custom wine and culinary experience, and payment will be made to them.
There are several criteria that we look for, but here are a couple of things we require:
Our listings must be proficient with wine knowledge, and we prefer tour staff to have industry-recognized certifications, have professional wine industry experience, or reside locally in the wine region where they offer tours.
Our listings must excel with their customer service, and we look for guides that understand luxury and VIP treatment for clients.
Once a membership is purchased and you have access to our full site of listings, we cannot give a refund. But if you aren’t satisfied, we’d like to know, and you can send us a message with any issues you have so that we can improve our service.
Of course! Send us a message with their website or social media information, or submit a listing, and a member of our staff will take a look and contact them to see if they’re a good fit.
